TITUSVILLE, Pa. — University of Pittsburgh Alumni recognized Education & Training Center at Pitt-Titusville supporters Suzy and Jim Broadhurst during the university’s homecoming festivities.
The couple received the prestigious Bill Baierl Distinguished Alumni Service Award, which was presented during the Alumni Awards Celebration held Oct. 23 in Pittsburgh.
The award honors individuals whose service to the University of Pittsburgh has significantly advanced its mission. Suzy Broadhurst, trustee emerita, and Jim Broadhurst, a graduate of Pitt’s Katz Graduate School of Business, have long been champions of the university and Pitt-Titusville.
Best known for their leadership of Eat’n Park Hospitality Group — which includes Eat’n Park Restaurants, Hello Bistro, The Porch, and Parkhurst Dining — the Broadhursts have also dedicated thousands of volunteer hours to Pitt. Suzy served on the university’s Board of Trustees for nearly two decades, including as vice chair from 2003 to 2012. Jim serves on the ETC advisory board and played a pivotal role in the success of Pitt-Titusville’s capital campaign.
“The Broadhursts exemplify the spirit of service and leadership that this award represents,” said Rick Esch, president of the Pitt-Bradford and Pitt-Titusville campuses. “Their commitment to the university and to our campuses has made a lasting impact on our students, programs, and communities.”
